- How much does a session cost?
- $90 for a private 1-on-1 hour. $45 per kid for a small-group session (up to 4 kids per group). The athlete keeps 85% of every payment. Our 15% funds platform infrastructure, background checks and SafeSport verification, and the trust + safety operations that keep the marketplace clean. A small Stripe payment-processing fee is added at checkout.
- What ages does NxtLevel NIL coach?
- Ages 5 through 18. Group sessions are typically organized by age band so kids train with peers at a similar level (e.g., 5–8, 9–11, 12–14, 15–18). If your child is on either end of that range, mention it in your booking notes and we'll match accordingly.
- Do I have to be at the session with my child?
- You're always welcome to stay and watch, but you never have to — drop-off and pick-up is completely fine. Every coach is a verified Division-I collegiate or professional athlete, every session is held in a public space (a field, park, or gym) — never a private residence — and everything is coordinated through the Platform.
- How do I know the coach is safe?
- Before a coach is approved and listed, they're held to a five-part safety standard: confirmed Division-I roster or active professional contract, required SafeSport certification, a required independent third-party background check, government-issued ID verification, and a signed Code of Conduct — re-screened annually. Every session is also held in a public space, athletes are mandatory reporters, and you have a direct line to the founder for any concern. See our Trust & Safety page for full details.
- Where do sessions happen?
- Boulder and Denver area for our pilot. The athlete and you coordinate the location at booking — typically a public local field, park, or gym near the athlete's preferred training area. You'll see the address up front before you pay, and we can help suggest neutral spots if you're not sure.
- What if it rains or the venue is unavailable?
- If weather or a venue closure forces a cancellation, the athlete reschedules the session at no cost to you. Indoor backup locations can be coordinated directly between you and the athlete when conditions call for it.
- What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
- Cancel or reschedule for free anytime up to 24 hours before the session — full refund, no questions. Inside the 24-hour window, the session is non-refundable since the athlete has reserved that block of time. The Manage Booking link in your confirmation email gives you one-click access to both.
- What if my child gets hurt during a session?
- Sports carry inherent risk — even with the best coaches. By booking, you acknowledge that risk and agree to our Waiver of Liability (linked at checkout). The athlete is trained in basic injury awareness and will pause or end a session if your child is hurt. NxtLevel is securing general-liability insurance with an abuse and molestation rider; for medical care, your family's health insurance is the primary coverage. Always send your child with their own medical information and emergency contact details.
- What if my athlete and I aren't a fit with the coach?
- If anything feels off after a first session, tell us. We'll work with you on a different athlete or, where appropriate, a refund. We care more about long-term trust than any single booking.
- How is this different from a club coach?
- Our athletes are current Division-I players (often starters at major programs) and active professional athletes. They train and compete at the exact level your athlete aspires to. They're also closer in age to your kid than most club coaches — relatable, specific, recent experience to draw on. They're not replacing your club coach; they're a complement, helping your kid build skills between team practices.
- What happens after I book and pay?
- Immediately: you get a confirmation email with the date, time, venue, and a Manage Booking link. The day before: you'll receive a 24-hour reminder. Two hours before: a final reminder with the address and (if the athlete left them) any prep notes. After the session: an email asking how it went and giving you a chance to leave a quick star rating and review. If anything goes wrong, you can dispute the session from the same page.
